Thetiwe Morare has taken in 7 children between the ages of 4 and 11. None of these orphans are related to her and all of them had a different mother. She herself grew up in an intact family with 6 siblings. In addition, there were 4 children from an aunt. Unfortunately, she never had children of her own and her husband passed away a few years ago. Fortunately, he was able to build a stone house earlier, where Thetiwe can now offer a home to the 7 children.
Currently five of them are part of our family at the centre. The youngest ones, Baby Boy and Mpho, will join us in 2018. Your donations help us to support Thetiwe with the care of the children.
Caring for these children from diverse backgrounds takes a lot out of Thetiwe. She revealed to us that her biggest concern is that she does not know who would take care of the children if something were to happen to her. The most difficult time for her was after the death of her husband, when she received the small state aid only for two children. Today, her greatest reward is that the children show great appreciation and gratitude for everything she can do for them. So it is a joy for her every morning to have the children around her. Her patience, her empathy and her big heart for these children are carried by the strength of her Christian faith. She teaches the children this important foundation for life.
