A celebration of gratitude and joy!
During the school holidays, we set aside a day when the centre family wanted to express how much they appreciated being part of the community at the Lesedi-Potlana orphan care centre. For this occasion, several groups of children rehearsed dances and 7-year-old Sana even recited a poem. Everyone was joining in the song "Praise the Lord" and waving the 80 flags. It was a joyful sea of colour and the children were happy and dancing.
7-year old Sana recited a poem about "Family comes together for always and forever". The long poem explained how important it is to have a family and that you can survive any situation if you are supported by a family. This poem expressed the gratitude of the orphans for the family they all feel at the centre.
To the great delight of the children, there was also ice cream ä discretion and popcorn.
