It's finally real! For many years, it has been of great concern to us how we could support the young people to make their own living. In September, the first group of youth from our centre as well as from the region of the township of Soshanguve started their one-year artisanal training as assistant plumbers. Because of Corona, classes are limited to 15 learners. The programme consists of an introductory course, 3 months of theory and basic practice at Tshwane North College, followed by 9 months practical in a host company.
As unemployed youth, all participants are amazed at the unexpected chance in life. They are fully motivated to make the most of this great opportunity with commitment and gratitude.
